Are you a Yampa Valley resident who wants to see the RTA funded and running? Then you're one of us. Anyone who supports our mission is welcome, and the most useful thing you can do is help us spread the word between now and November 3.

We are the valley's go-to source on the RTA and on RTA Ballot Issue 7A, the measure that funds it. By joining as a subscriber or a volunteer, you're joining neighbors from Craig to Yampa who want one more way to get around.

Get started with any of the steps below.

Subscribe (it's free!)

As a newsletter subscriber you get campaign updates, a preview of every YVRTA Board meeting, and the dates that matter, straight to your inbox. No algorithm decides whether you see it.

Add your name

Individuals and organizations can endorse RTA Ballot Issue 7A or Friends of YVRTA. Send us an email with your name and the town you live in; we publish names and towns only. Organizations, make sure whoever writes is authorized to speak for you. Local governments can't endorse, but they can pass a resolution in support, and Routt County already has.

Volunteer

The campaign runs on a few hours here and there. Host a ten-minute conversation at your staff meeting, your board, your book club, or your church; we will come to you. Put a yard sign up. Write a letter to the editor. Hand out palm cards at the farmers market. Tell five people. Send us an email and say what you'd like to do; we will match you with something that fits.

Attend upcoming events

  • Steamboat Rotary Club, Tuesday, October 6. Our presentation on RTA Ballot Issue 7A.
  • YVRTA Board meetings, the second Monday of each month at 4 p.m., Hayden Town Hall, 178 West Jefferson Avenue, and on Zoom. Public comment opens every meeting. We preview each one in the newsletter.

Spread the word

It takes a village to accomplish our mission. Share this site with your family, friends, and colleagues, and ask them to join too. A neighbor who says this matters does more than anything we could put in the mail.

Contribute to the cause

Our campaign runs on a small budget, and we would like it to come from the valley. Learn how to make a contribution.
